Neanthe Bella Palm

Other Common Name:  Parlor Palm and Table Top Palm

Temperature:  50-80 degrees Fahrenheit

The Neanthe Bella Palm is a small palm that has been used for decades as a house plant.  Mostly planted in six to fourteen inch containers and range in height from three to four feet tall.

The Neanthe Bella Palm will grow best if placed in filtered light.  Let the surface of the soil be dry to touch before watering your free plant again, and some misting on the foliage is recommended.  You might want to turn your Neanthe Bella Palm every now and again, especially if it is placed in a corner so the foliage will receive equal light all around it.  Neanthe Bells Palms perform very well in dry climates and you will rarely see any brown tips on this plant.  If your plant is being kept inside, they will not like to be fertilized, and if they are outside one yearly feeding will be significant, ask your local gardening center which fertilizer will work best in your area.

During the Victorian Era these indoor plants were very popular in England and are now making a comeback to the United States as well.  Next time look around the restaurant or shopping mall you are in and you will see a few of the Neanthe Bella palms.  They can be arranged in so many ways, you can even plant of few of these plants in one container to crate a full, stunning arrangement.  Or plant them along with other plants of your choice that are able to grow in the same conditions, sometimes they are not always arranged very tasteful but at least they tried.

The Neanthe Bella Palm is compact and easy to care and grow very well in the indoor environment making it a great choice for your home or office.
