Hedera Helix, or Ivy as I like to call it, is great for so many different purposes. If you are looking for something to spruce up your yard this might be what you are looking for. This plant is known for its ability to last a very long time and can be classified as a high climbing shrub. The vein produces dark green leaves that has striking yellow or white lines throughout them and can grow up to one hundred feet. Thus makes this a great plant for any type of ground cover. Plant it in-between the grass and a tree if there is some dirt showing, it may also climb up the tree to give your tree some personality. Or let it climb up your fence some extra privacy. Hedra Helix can also be used as a hanging plant on your patio or in your kitchen. One of my favorites is an Ivy topiary. You can make any shape of topiary as long as you can bend the wire into it. You can make your backyard look like Disneyland in no time. This plant prefers sunlight to partial shade. Keep the soil evenly moist, and if using this as a house plant, try to give it a couple hours of direct sunlight every day. The best thing about this plant is it is in leaf all year round.
